Sending us your private prescription

If you have a private prescription, we can dispense it. Important: by "private prescription" we mean one issued by a private in-person doctor or specialist. We cannot accept prescriptions from other online pharmacies, with the exception of Clynxx or Signature Rx electronic prescriptions, or the original wet-ink signed paper copy posted to us.

Who this applies to

This article covers two groups of patients:

Patients with a private prescription from an in-person doctor or specialist who want us to dispense it.
Patients who clicked "I have a private prescription" on the website by mistake when they actually need our doctors to prescribe.

What we accept

What we accept	How it reaches us
Clynxx or Signature Rx electronic prescriptions	Your prescriber sends these to us directly through the Signature Rx system.
Original wet-ink signed paper prescriptions	Post the original to us, ideally tracked and signed for.

We cannot accept scanned copies, photos, or photocopies. The original signed copy is required for paper prescriptions.

How to submit a private prescription

If you so wish, you can email us first with a photo of the prescription. This way we can confirm that clinically that we can dispense this medication as well as confirming we can order it in from our suppliers.
Go to oxfordonlinepharmacy.co.uk, find your medication (if it is one we sell) and click "start a consultation".
If this is a medication we do not sell generally, you will need to call customer service who can place the order for you on the pre agreed price from the Purchasing department.
On page two of the consultation, click the black link that says "I have a private prescription".
Complete the order with payment.
Send your prescription separately. Signature Rx electronic prescriptions are sent by your prescriber. Wet-ink prescriptions need to be posted to us to the address below:

Once we have both the order and the prescription, we can link them and dispatch your medication.

If you clicked private prescription by mistake

If you actually need one of our doctors to prescribe for you, complete a full consultation on the medication's product page, then contact us so we can link the consultation to your existing payment.

If photos and your height and weight are required, they may not carry across when we link a new consultation to an existing payment, so to avoid delays, email any dated photos and reconfirm your height and weight to help@oxfordop.co.uk.

Common scenarios

You have a private prescription from your in-person specialist. Place an order on the medication page, select "I have a private prescription", and send the prescription separately.
You have a prescription from another online pharmacy. We cannot accept this; you will need to either visit an in-person prescriber, or complete a consultation with our doctors instead.
You clicked private prescription by mistake. Complete a full consultation, then contact us to link it to your payment.
You have a wet-ink prescription. Post the original, signed and tracked, to our address.
